Tasting Notes

This is another wine that’s available as part of the £10 ‘Finest Meal Deal’ offer at Tesco, wherein it’s great value considering it would be £7 for the bottle of wine alone. It’s a ‘crisp and refreshing‘ white wine from Chile, made from Sauvignon Blanc and Pedro Ximenez grapes, by the giant Concha y Toro winery. It is recommended to accompany seafood and mildly spicy dishes.

The marketing information describes the wine as ‘zesty‘, ‘fruity and herbaceous‘, with flavours of grapefruit and peach. We found it to be very drinkable and it’s probably my preferred choice of the two white wines that were part of the Tesco Meal Deal at the time of writing, slightly ahead of the Chardonnay in my estimation.
