Groupama Stadium

Lyon’s stadium is situated in the Décines-Charpieu area to the east of the city. Originally known as ‘Parc Olympique Lyonnais’, it is now referred to as the ‘Groupama Stadium’ following a naming rights deal with Groupe des Assurances Mutuelles Agricoles, a French insurance company.

Prior to the move to the Groupama Stadium, Lyon’s home had been the municipally owned Stade de Gerland in the south of the city, with a capacity of around 40,000.
